You are Lucifer, and Hell's most anticipated arrival has just been dragged down. Tremendous crowds. Nobody has ever been damned like this, believe me. He's yours.

Pick an implement and get to work: rocks, swords, axes that take parts off him (the parts grow back), lightning, hot coals, a geyser, spikes, a hook on a chain, a whip, a rain of brimstone, your own gauntleted hand, or just pick him up and fling him. He cries out, bleeds, burns, falls over and gets back up, every time. Cartoon slapstick with a cartoon's idea of consequences. Three more sinners wait on the Sinner page, or bring your own.

  • Twelve implements, every one of them physical: the sinner reacts to wherever and however they're hit.
  • Turn on Torment and break them, if you can.
  • A feed of what you've done to them, and stats for the session and for all time.
  • Bring your own sinner: any humanoid character as a .glb or .vrm file (below).

Controls

  • Pick an implement: click its tile at the side of the screen.
  • Use it: left click, or hold and drag; the hint at the bottom of the screen says which.
  • Turn the camera: right-drag. Zoom: the mouse wheel.
  • Menu: Escape. Skip Lucifer's speech: Space.

The control hints, the feed and Torment can each be turned on or off in Settings.

Your own sinner

Lucifer can drag any humanoid character down to Hell. Bring one as a .glb or .vrm file. You don't need Unity, and nothing in the game changes.

  1. On the main menu, press Sinner, then Open Folder.
  2. Drop the file in.
  3. Open the Sinner page again. Your sinner is listed with a portrait. Pick them and play.

Where characters come from

  • VRoid Studio (free): export as VRM, and drop the .vrm in as it is.
  • Blender (free): File > Export > glTF 2.0, as a glTF Binary (.glb).
  • An .fbx, Mixamo's included: the game can't read one, so import it into Blender (File > Import > FBX) and export a .glb.
  • Sketchfab and other stores: a rigged character's .glb download.

What the game does with them

  • Their bones are found by name, as Mixamo, Unreal, Rigify, Character Creator, VRoid and 3ds Max name them. Named some other way, a small .json beside the file says which bone is which.
  • They're made as tall as the game's own sinner, whatever their size, in any standing pose, facing any way.
  • They keep their colours, textures, normal maps and glowing parts. A VRM's toon shading isn't kept: they're lit like the rest of Hell.
  • If a file can't be used, the Sinner page still lists it and says why.
  • They can have a voice of their own: sound files (.wav, .ogg or .mp3) in a folder named after them beside their file, one folder for each cry. Any cry they have none for is the game's.

The full guide is Your Own Sinner.txt, beside the game. It covers each tool step by step, the bone names, the .json, a sinner's own voice, and every message the page can show. On the Sinner page, How To, then Open Guide, opens it.

Use only characters you have the right to use.
